Marking the inauguration of the Museum, this magnificent collection of objects was loaned by the Talpurs Amirs, the families who ruled Sindh prior to its annexation by the British in 1843. Obtained from the courts of Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Khairpur, the objects on display included rare jewellery, ceremonial textiles, historical manuscripts, decorative objects, furniture, paintings, arms and armour.
